Registering for Classes

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that registering for classes here was super confusing. I think it's always like that, though. The problem is you have to make up your own schedule, then go talk it over with an academic adviser. The adviser (a.k.a. Big 'A') then enters your course preferences into a computer only to find out that all the courses you initially wanted to take were already taken. That was especially problematic for all the freshmen who had to take all the core courses. See, as Bulgarians, we get 30 transfer credits from our diploma, so we basically don't have to take any of the cores. Still, 3 of the classes I wanted to take were full already! I had to change my schedule several times before I was happy with it. The thing I like the most is that I get Tuesdays off. That'll leave me time to work - I'm planning on applying for a job at the Admissions Office as an assistant. They'll pay me £5.35 per hour, which is not a bad deal at all. I hope I'll get the job; I'm submitting my resume, cover letter, and some supplementary materials on Monday. Actually, as far as my schedule for the semester goes, I'm pretty lucky; I saw quite a few frustrated people who spent hours making up their schedules.

Tomorrow I'll post photos and a description of my first night out in downtown London!! :) It was so fabulous!! I just returned from our trip, it's 1:20 a.m., and I'm in the comp lab with Kat and Alison, checking mails and stuff. I could be doing this on my laptop, too, but it needs to be recharged first. I'm also kinda sleepy right now. At least we don't have to get up early tomorrow. It's Saturday for one, and we only have a shopping trip to Kingston planned, as well a boat party in the evening - that ought to be fun! There'll be plenty of time in the morning for a new blog entry. I just want to keep them coming as often as possble before I start getting really busy and have time to update that blog only once a week for example. I love you all (and hope we'll all meet in London soon - it's amazing!!)!
