Regent Street Festival: Spain

Today was a day when we could go out on our own and do whatever we wanted. That happened mainly because the buses that were supposed to take us to Regent Street never showed up... which turned out to be a good thing, for we had a chance to do some exploring without being part of a crowd. Since there was no direct transportation to downtown London, we had to take a train to Waterloo station, then the tube to Piccadilly Circus. Once we got off on Piccadilly square, we entered Regent street and the festival:

There were so many people! Special entertainment for the kids: sand boxes!

This was a display in one of the fancy shops on Regent Street.

There were stages with traditional Spanish dances which kinda looked like a mix between Irish and Bulgarian dances.

This was a musical performance mixed with artistic elements.

The famous Piccadilly Circus.

See the crowd!! It was hard to breathe, not to mention move.

A display of traditional Spanish goods.

Now this was my favorite part! There were horse performances every half hour. The problem was that I couldn't see a thing! Darn... Of course the guy in front of me was the tallest person ever. This picture is actually pretty amazing having in mind I did it without seeing a thing... So I'm happy... :)
...Obviously... :)

This was one official police horse.

Ah, nostalgia for the horse's butt :)

And on the topic of horses, here are the posters above my bed. Yep, Johnny's on there, too! :)

That was all for now. Bye! (PS: Classes start tomorrow, yay!)
