Clubbin'
Hi again!
Long time no see! I know, I know... Blame it all on bad time management ;) What can I say, life's been good so far. Today was an example of a good day that involved various activities. First of all, even though it was a Saturday, we woke up rather early in the morning cause we had to go shopping for some cake ingredients. The reason for that - Kesley and Paulie have a double birthday on Nov. 19. We haven't planned a party or anything, but I still want to bake a cake of some sort, mmmm! :) Rocio came to town with me cause she slept in my room cause Paulie was visiting her uncle in Epson. After the morning trip, we all had brunch and headed to the Tate Modern museum in the early afternoon. We looked at examples of modern art for quite a while, and Marcie and Kesley got to go down a super long slide in the museum as part of an assignment for their English class.. how cool is that? :) After about 4 hours in the museum, we were tired and went to Wagamama's to eat sushi, supposedly, only it turned out there wasn't a trace of sushi in the restaurant, oh well... That's when we started the pre-bday celebration of Kesley's bday (Paulie was still at her uncle's). We had fun eating Japanese food, but then froze in the evening coldness of London Bridge by the river as we were walking back to the tube to go back home. When we arrived back to campus, we went to our rooms, then met up an hour later and surprized Kesley with a few gifts she loved. Her reward for her bday was to go to a club in Kingston - and be legal for a change - she turned 18! Jessica and I went along, but we couldn't go in cause Jess is still 17 and I wanted to keep her company. We left Kesley, Marcie, and Rocio at the entrance of the club and headed to the bus stop. About 4 mins later, we got a call from Rocio who said they wouldn't let her in because she was wearing trainers. We met up again and performed the best shoe switch in the world :) Jessica gave her shoes to Rocio, I took Rocio's super small shoes, and Jessica took my sneakers. Let me tell you, we looked like complete idiots. :D But it was all so funny, plus our trick worked and they let Rocio go in the club. Happy and amused *still freezing though*, Jess and I took the bus back to campus and will be going to bed in a few minutes... Good times, good times! :)
