Kingston and Karaoke

Thursday, Sep. 7 was Karaoke Night at Richmond. During the day a couple of the girls and I went to Kingston, a small town with great shopping places, 2o mins away from campus by bus. There we bought essential items such as hangers and other household items. I went berserk in a grocery store and bought blood oranges, mango, pineapple, and more rather useless fruity items :)

These phone booths are a special feature in Kingston. They are arranged like dominoes, falling one after the other. If you want to buy a postcard in Kingston, it'll most probably have a picture of these booths.

Most of Pharaoh's Crew again. The guy in the white shirt who's laughing really hard is Pharaoh; then there's Kesley and Marcie, and Rocio's back. The full crew included Kat and me as well. And you know what the funniest part was? We sang 'It's raining men' and Pharaoh did a funny 'rain dance', while all the girls were singing incredibly wrong tunes, and also the text on the karaoke screen was not the same as the song lyrics, so it was all a huge mess; BUT we won second place!! Out of quite a few (and better) contenders! I don't know how those things happen! We were all surprised when we heard our names... I guess we're just lucky :) We won Richmond caps which normally cost £13.

Speaking of lucky, I got the admissions assistant job!! And from about 50 applicants! I'm so happy! I'm starting on Sept. 18. Can't wait!! :D
